POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State softball team continues its home stand with a single game vs. Utah State on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Capell Park in Chubbuck. Idaho State is 2-0 against the Aggies, winning 10-2 in five innings on March 5 and 6-1 in Logan on April 13.
Due to rain and snowfall in the Pocatello area the Idaho State softball team has been forced to move its home games to Capell Park in Chubbuck. Going Northbound, the park is located by taking a right on the street just past Chubbuck City Hall.
Utah State leads the overall series 22-9 but the Bengals have won the last two meetings. It is the first time ISU has beaten the Aggies since the program was brought back in 2007.
This is Utah State's final nonconference road game of the season. The Aggies are 9-35 and 4-8 in WAC play and led by the play of Kassandra Uchida, who is batting .350 while Krista Bava is hitting .309. Mandy Harmon has pitched a team-best 133.1 innings.
The ISU softball team has hit 20 homeruns this year, more than the 13 hit for the 2008 season and 19 hit in 2010. The 2009 team hit 24 homeruns while the 2007 team hit 30.

Kandis Clesson is also one win away from breaking Tammy Sorensen's all-time win record as both pitchers currently boast 36 wins for their career. Sorensen played for the Bengals from 1979-82.
