POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State softball team is set to square off against Weber State at 2 p.m. today at Capell Park.  Fans will be provided with live updates and be able to chat back and forth about the game and Bengal softball.

This Week in ISU Softball
The Idaho State softball team returns to Pacific Coast Softball Conference play on Friday and Saturday with a doubleheader at Capell Park in Chubbuck.  Idaho State is 7-28 overall and looking for its first win in conference play while Weber State comes into this weekend with a 9-26 record and 2-6 mark in conference play. 
Bengals vs. Weber State
Idaho State leads the overall series 20-13 with the Bengals winning 12 of the last 13 meetings dating back to 1982. Last year, ISU won three of four in Ogden. The meeting in 2010 was the first since the program was brought back in 2007. 
Scouting the Wildcats
Weber State is led by the offensive play of Erika James who is hitting .342. Britinie Hardine leads the Wildcats in the circle with a 2.43 era and four wins. 
Fitzsimmons Sets School Strikeout Record
Despite the 3-0 loss to Utah State on April 20, 
Amanda Fitzsimmons set the single-game Idaho State school record for strikeouts in a game with 10. In the the last four years several Bengal pitchers have recorded nine strikeouts, most recently Nora Maschue with nine in 2010. 
Bengals Go Long
The ISU softball team has hit 20 homeruns this year, more than the 13 hit for the 2008 season and 19 hit in 2010. The 2009 team hit 24 homeruns while the 2007 team hit 30. 
Brittany Olsin's five homeruns this year is the more than any Bengal hit for the 2010 season.
