POCATELLO, Idaho - Senior
Bradi Hutchison leads the Bengals for the third straight week with a win at the BYU Invitational Friday night at the Cascade Golf Center in Provo, Utah. She finished the 5K in 17:57.70. The Idaho State women scored 32 points, trailing winner BYU by two points. University of Utah was third with 72 points.
In the top 10,
Chloe Palakovich finished second with a time of 18:29.30 and
Kylie Hutchison was fourth with a time of 18:31.60.
Cydney Jacobsen and
Audrey Urlacher also scored for the Bengals in 18th place with 19:11.30 and 20th with 19:18.10.
On the men's side, freshman KC Hunsiker led the Bengals with 20th place finish and time of 20:54.70 in the men's four mile. Keane Schuler finished 24th with a 21.01.00, Nicasio Westland was 32nd with 21:36.70 and Braden Tanner was 34th with 21:42.10. Eric Strand also scored for the Bengals with a 36th placed finish and a 21:47.80.
The men placed second with 50 points behind BYU with 15 points.
Next week, Idaho State cross country will travel to Minneapolis, Minn. to compete in the Griak Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 24. The time is to be announced.
