41 Student-Athletes Earn Academic All-Conference

Idaho State has now had 158 student-athletes earn all-conference academic honors since the 2010-11 school year.

41 Bengals were named to the Fall All-Academic teams in the fall semester.
Big Sky Academic Release

POCATELLO, Idaho- The Big Sky Conference released its 2011 Fall All-Academic team's and Idaho State had 41 student-athletes represented on the team's from football, volleyball, women's soccer and men's and women's cross country.

The 41 Bengal student-athletes for the fall semester brings the total to 158 Bengals that have received this honorsince the start of the 2010 school year.

Making the most notable jump in improvement was the football team as they had 17 student-athletes represented,  tying a program record for the most student-athletes named to the All-Academic team since 1978.

The volleyball team had seven student-athletes named to the team, men's cross country two, women's cross country five and women's soccer  boasted 10 on the team.

To be named to the academic team a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded the following minimum requirements: 1)Participated in at least half of the team's competitions; 2)Achieved a 3.2 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at the conclusion of the most recently completed term; 3)Completed at least one academic term at his/her current Big Sky institution
