POCATELLO, Idaho - Idaho State Volleyball extended their win streak to five, seven in Reed Gym, with their 3-0 win over Eastern Washington. The Bengals are ranked first in the conference with a record of 15-4 and 9-1 in Big Sky play.
Idaho State narrowly beat Eastern Washington 25-20 in the first set but had decisive victories, 25-17 and 25-16, in the following two sets.
Redshirt freshman
Tressa Lyman narrowly missed a second-straight double-double with 11 kills and nine digs as well as three service aces. Last night against Portland State, Lyman recorded 10 kills and 12 digs.
Junior setter Lori Mendenhall recorded 38 assists and five kills out of six attacks. Senior
Breanne Van Every led the team in digs with 12 and had eight kills.
The Bengals had a .289 attack percentage compared with Eastern Washington's .102 attack percentage. In the final set, the Bengals posted a .368 attack percentage to the Eagles' .048.
The Bengals head on the road to play Southern Utah on Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. They return to Reed Gym in two weeks to take on Montana at 7 p.m.
