BENGAL OVERVIEW
Idaho State volleyball (15-4, 9-1 BSC) is tied for first place in the conference standings with Portland State (13-8, 9-1 BSC). This week the Bengals travel to Cedar City, Utah and Flagstaff, Arizona to face Southern Utah (8-13, 4-6 BSC) and Northern Arizona (16-3, 8-2 BSC). ABOUT IDAHO STATE
The Bengals are 15-4 overall and 9-1 in conference play on the season after defeating Portland State and Eastern Washington last week. The two wins extended ISU's win-streak to five. Redshirt freshman outside hitter

As a team, the Bengals are leading the conference in assists (13.12), kills (13.92) and hitting percentage (.254).
Nationally, the Bengals are ranked 28th in hitting percentage, 32nd in win-loss percentage, 35th in assists per set and 40th in kills per set. Idaho State is also 53rd in assists per set and 59th in blocks per set. Mendenhall is 28th in the nation individually in assists per set.
LAST WEEK IN BENGAL VOLLEYBALL
Last week, Idaho State moved into a tie for first place in the Big Sky after defeating conference-leading Portland State at home Friday followed by a win over Eastern Washington Saturday. Redshirt freshman
Tressa Lyman posted a double-double against the Vikings with 10 kills and 13 digs. She led ISU against Eastern Washington with 11 kills. ISU used a strong block performance to take down PSU, out-blocking the Vikings 11-3. Sophomore Alydia Fields and redshirt senior
Jaclyn Hone-Hawkins each recorded six blocks in the contest. Junior setter Lori Mendenhall tallied 76 assists over the two matches.
HONE-HAWKINS CLOSING IN ON CAREER 1,000s

Jaclyn Hone-Hawkins has broken the 1,000-point barrier as she has now tallied 1,021.5 points throughout her career. Hone-Hawkins also has 937 total digs, 63 away from 1,000. She also has 857 total kills. To become a member of the triple crown club, a player needs 1,000 points, 1,000 digs and 1,000 kills.
BENGAL STANDOUT: LORI MENDENHALL
So far this season, junior setter Lori Mendenhall has been named Big Sky Player of the Week twice (9/17 and 9/10). After leading ISU to a Kesier Classic title, she was also named tournament MVP. Against NAU (9/14), Mendenhall recorded a career-high 62 assists on her way to a double-double with 12 digs. So far this season she has recorded 822 total assists as well as 67 kills, 16 service aces, 176 digs and 34 blocks.
VAN EVERY NAMED SENIOR CLASS AWARD CANDIDATE

Breanne Van Every has been selected as a candidate for the 2012 Senior CLASS Award. Van Every is one of 30 candidates selected from Division I teams nationwide. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence – community, classroom, character and competition.
Van Every currently has 226 kills this season, averaging 3.10 per set. She also has a team-high 23 service aces as well as 23 assists, 183 digs and 31 blocks.
Van Every has been named to two all-tournament teams this season, the El Paso Sports Commission Invitational and Nike Portland Invitational. In 2011, Van Every was named to the all-tournament teams for the Utah State Tournament and UniWyo Cowgirl Classic.
ABOUT SOUTHERN UTAH
Southern Utah is 8-13 overall and 4-6 in Big Sky action. The Thunderbirds are on a three-match losing streak with their last win coming on Oct. 6 against Montana (3-0). SUU is 3-2 at home this season. Analaine Mailoto leads SUU in kills, averaging 3.99 per set while Gabi Mirand leads the assist and service ace efforts. Mirand averages 9.44 assists per set and has tallied 30 service aces this season. Alissa Youart leads in digs with 2.97 per set while Cahsaana Renfro is the top blocker with 89 this season.
SERIES INFO AND LAST MEETING WITH THE THUNDERBIRDS
The all-time series between SUU and ISU is tied 2-2. The Bengals are on a two-match win streak. Idaho State won the last contest 3-0 at Pocatello on Sept. 15, 2012. The Bengals have never won at Southern Utah.
ABOUT NORTHERN ARIZONA
Northern Arizona is third in the conference with an 8-2 Big Sky record. The Lumberjacks are 16-3 overall and 3-0 at home. NAU has won five straight matches with the last loss for the squad coming at Portland State Sept. 27, 2012. Kelli Dallmann leads NAU in kills, averaging 3.44 per set while Kalee Kirby leads the assist effort with 11.15 per set. Anna Gott is the NAU leader and second in the conference in digs with 5.13 per set.
SERIES INFO AND LAST MEETING WITH THE LUMBERJACKS
Idaho State leads the all-time series 33-26 and the Bengals are 11-16 in Flagstaff. Idaho State is on a seven-match win streak against the Lumberjacks. ISU won the last meeting between the two programs 3-1 Sept. 14, 2012 in Pocatello.
