FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Three Bengals posted double-doubles in Idaho State's 3-1 loss to Northern Arizona Saturday night.
Redshirt senior
Jaclyn Hone-Hawkins recorded 11 kills with 11 digs while redshirt freshman
Tressa Lyman posted 11 kills and 14 digs. Junior setter Lori Mendenhall also had a double-double with 53 assists and a team-high 24 digs.
Senior outside hitter
Breanne Van Every led the team with 19 kills. Van Every also posted eight digs and one block. Sophomore Whitney Bartschi led ISU with 5 blocks.
The Lumberjacks out-blocked ISU 17-8 in the contest. The Bengals recorded 61 total kills off 180 attempts for a .139 attack percentage.
The loss moves Idaho State to 16-5 overall and 10-2 in Big Sky action. The Lumberjacks are now tied with ISU in the conference as they improve to 18-3 overall and 10-2 in conference play as well.
The Bengals continue their road stretch with match-ups against North Dakota and Northern Colorado next weekend. ISU faces UND Thursday, Oct. 25 in Grand Forks, N.D., and the Bears Saturday, Oct. 27 in Greeley, Colo.
