BENGAL OVERVIEW
Idaho State volleyball (18-5, 12-2 BSC) is in second place in the conference. This week, Idaho State hosts Montana (6-17, 4-10 BSC) and Montana State (13-9, 7-7 BSC). The Bengals face the Griz Friday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. and the Bobcats Saturday, Nov. 3 at 8 p.m. in Reed Gym.
ABOUT IDAHO STATE
The Bengals are 18-5 overall and 12-2 in conference play on the season after defeating North Dakota and Northern Colorado on the road last weekend. Redshirt freshman outside hitter

As a team, the Bengals are leading the conference in assists (13.16), kills (14.01) and hitting percentage (.248).
Nationally, the Bengals are ranked 31st in assists per set, 31st in win-loss percentage, 40th in kills per set, 44th in hitting percentage, 59th in aces per set and 62nd in blocks per set. Mendenhall is 21st in the nation individually in assists per set.
BENGALS CLINCH SPOT IN POSTSEASON
With the two wins last weekend, ISU has secured a spot in the 2012 Banner Health North Colorado Medical Center Big Sky Volleyball Championship in Greeley, Colo., November 23-24.

Jaclyn Hone-Hawkins and junior Lori Mendenhall recorded double-doubles against Northern Colorado. Hone-Hawkins had 14 kills and 12 digs while Mendenhall had 36 assists and 12 digs. Mendenhall posted 70 assists over the weekend and Hone-Hawkins had 11 blocks.

Jaclyn Hone-Hawkins has broken the 1,000-point barrier as she has now tallied 1,074 points throughout her career. Hone-Hawkins also has 981 total digs, 19 away from 1,000. She also has 897 total kills. To become a member of the triple crown club, a player needs 1,000 points, 1,000 digs and 1,000 kills.

Jaclyn Hone-Hawkins has been named Big Sky Player of the Week for matches played the week of Oct 22-Oct. 28. It is the first POTW honor for Hone-Hawkins. Hone-Hawkins helped Idaho State go 2-0 on the road this weekend, defeating North Dakota (3-0) and defending Big Sky Champion Northern Colorado (3-0). The wins helped ISU secure a spot at the 2012 Banner Health North Colorado Medical Center Big Sky Volleyball Championship in Greeley, Colo., November 23-24.
BENGAL STANDOUT: LORI MENDENHALL
So far this season, junior setter Lori Mendenhall has been named Big Sky Player of the Week twice (9/17 and 9/10). After leading ISU to a Kesier Classic title, she was also named tournament MVP. Against NAU (9/14), Mendenhall recorded a career-high 62 assists on her way to a double-double with 12 digs. So far this season she has recorded 986 total assists as well as 79 kills, 16 service aces, 230 digs and 36 blocks.
VAN EVERY NAMED SENIOR CLASS AWARD CANDIDATE

Breanne Van Every was selected as a candidate for the 2012 Senior CLASS Award. Van Every was one of 30 candidates selected from Division I teams nationwide. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence – community, classroom, character and competition.
ABOUT MONTANA
Montana is 6-17 this season and 4-10 in Big Sky action. The Griz is just 1-8 on the road this season. UM is currently on a two-match losing streak with the squad's last win coming in a 3-1 decision against Northern Colorado on Oct. 20. Kayla Reno leads the Griz with 2.91 kills per set while Kortney James leads the assist effort with 8.86 per set. Megan Murphy and Brooke Bray lead the defensive effort. Murphy boasts 3.54 digs per set while Bray is second in the conference with 113 total blocks this season. Bray leads the conference in hitting percentage (.356).
SERIES INFO AND LAST MEETING WITH THE GRIZ
Montana leas the series 41-28 and ISU won the last meeting in a 3-2 decision on September 29 in Missoula. The Bengals are 15-16 against the Griz at home in Reed Gym.
ABOUT MONTANA STATE
Montana State is 13-9 overall this season, 7-7 in Big Sky action and 5-4 on the road. The Bobcats are on a one-match winning streak after defeating Eastern Washington 3-0 in Cheney last weekend. MSU is led in kills by Sarah Horton, who averages 4.22 per set, the best in the conference. Jennifer Lundquist leads the assist effort with 10.37 per set. Nicole Baker leads in digs with 3.88 per set while Taylor Barney has a team-high 96 blocks this season.
SERIES INFO AND LAST MEETING WITH THE BOBCATS
The series between the two programs is tied 33-33. The Bengals have lost three straight to the Bobcats including the last meeting on Sept. 28, 2012 in Bozeman when MSU defeated ISU 3-2. The Bengals are 20-10 against MSU at home. ISU's last win against the Bobcats came on Nov. 19, 2010 in a 3-1 decision at MSU. The Bengals' last win at home against MSU was on Oct. 2, 2010. ISU won the contest 3-1.
