SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Idaho State defeated Sacramento State 3-2 Friday night in Sacramento, Calif. The Bengals improve to 13-4 overall and 7-1 in Big Sky action.

Breanne Van Every both had 16 kills in the contest. Van Every recorded 19 digs while Lyman posted 11. Redshirt senior
Jaclyn Hone-Hawkins posted 13 kills and 10 digs while junior Lori Mendenhall posted 55 assists and 10 digs. Hone-Hawkins also recorded a team-high eight blocks against Sacramento State.
Redshirt sophomore Kylee Searle led ISU with 22 total digs against the Hornets.
Overall Idaho State recorded a .202 attacks percentage with 64 total kills off of 168 attempts with 30 errors. The Bengals also posted 13 blocks against Sacramento State.
The Hornets fall to 5-11 overall and 1-6 in Big Sky action.
Idaho State's next contest is against Portland State Friday, Oct. 12 in Pocatello, Idaho at 7 p.m.
