Softball Plays at UC Riverside

The Bengals play Illinois-Chicago, South Dakota and UC Riverside.

Idaho State plays at UC Riverside this weekend.
Game Notes

POCATELLO, Idaho- Idaho State returns to the field Feb. 24-26 for the aTen Construction Tournament hosted by UC Riverside. Over three days the Bengals play Illinois-Chicago, South Dakota and UC Riverside.

Series Info vs. Illinois-Chicago
This is the first meeting between the two schools. Illinois-Chicago is 4-6 and hitting .309 as a team. Jacki Fletcher is hitting .452 and Melissa Preish is batting .429.

Series Info vs. South Dakota
This is the first meeting between the two schools. South Dakota is 0-5 and have not played since Feb. 12. South Dakota is hitting .211 as a team.

Series Info vs. UC Riverside
UC Riverside is 1-9 and hitting .241. Its win was a 6-3 victory over Toledo. UCR leads the overall series with the Bengals 3-1. ISU's win was a 12-9 victory last year. on March 4, 2011.

Newcomers Step up on First Two Weekends
After the first two weekends, freshman Vicky Galasso and junior Becky Simonsen have been one of the leaders for the Bengals offensively. Simonsen currently leads Idaho State at the plate with a .359 average.  In six games last weekend, Simonsen hit .421 (8-for-19). Galasso is hitting .308 with three homeruns and 13 RBIs while Hailey Breakwell had a good weeked last week, hitting .333 at UNLV.

Bengal Bites
- Kelsi Ott's 12 strikeouts against McNeese State is the most out of any pitcher in the PCSC.
- Vicky Galasso and Amanda Fitzsimmons are tied for third in the conference with most mulitple RBI games with four.
- Becky Simonsen has a conference best nine-game hitting streak.
