Box Score
POCATELLO, Idaho- The four-game winning streak for the Idaho State men's basketball came to an end Monday night at Montana as the Bengals dropped a 76-40 decision in Missoula. The loss drops Idaho State to 8-15 and 6-5 in Big Sky play while Montana improved to 17-6 and 10-1 in league. Despite the loss Idaho State remains in a tie for third place with Montana State.

“We have to give Montana a lot of credit,” Idaho State Interim Head Coach Deane Martin said. “They are well-coached and a very good team. One through five, I think they are the best team in the league. They are a really hard match up for us.”

Idaho State shot 24.6 percent from the field while Montana shot 51 percent. Melvin Morgan and Kenny McGowen each had nine points. Chase Grabau and Andre Hatchett each had eight points and six rebounds.

“I thought we were lazy offensively all night,” Martin said. “We weren't making good cuts and we were just sluggish. We just didn't have a lot of zing to our offense.”

The Bengals never led in the game and trailed by as many as 38 points. ISU trailed 32-23 at halftime but was outscored 44-17 in the second half.

Idaho State returns to the court on Thursday at 8 p.m. for a contest at Holt Arena vs. Portland State.
