POCATELLO, Idaho- After several rain delays and the first day of the Spring Hill Suites Invitational, in Boise, being canceled, the Idaho State softball team finally got on the field Saturday afternoon against Minnesota from the Big Ten Conference. The Bengals lost 10-2 in five innings after the Gophers scored eight runs in the first two innings.
Minnesota scored two runs in the first, six in the second and two in the fourth to lead 10-0. Idaho State scored its run in the fourth thanks to a two-out RBI single by Katie Wiley and
Hailey Breakwell scored in the fifth on an RBI from Becky Simonsen.

Vicky Galasso all had hits for the Bengals. Minnesota scored its 10 runs on seven hits while ISU had two runs on four hits and one error.
Idaho State concludes play at Boise State with games against Utah State at 12 p.m. and Boise State at 4 p.m.
