Bengals Host Seattle in Weekend Series

Former Bengal Kandis Clesson will throw out the first pitch on Saturday.

Idaho State hosts Seattle U on Saturday and Sunday.

POCATELLO, Idaho-
The Idaho State softball team continues play at Miller Ranch Stadium this weekend vs. Seattle U on March 31 and April 1.  Both days are double headers, with first pitch on Saturday taking place at 12 p.m. and first pitch on Sunday taking place at 11 a.m.  Live stats and live blogging will be available via the Idaho State Athletics website at isubengals.com. The first game on Saturday will be broadcast on KISU.

Prior to the start of Saturday's game the field dedication for Miller Ranch Stadium will take place. Donor's, local businesses and alumni will recognized for making the stadium possible and former Bengal Kandis Clesson will throw out the first pitch.

In between games on Saturday, fans will be able to run the bases with Benny and on Sunday free hot dogs will be available for fans in between games.

Seattle comes into this weekends' series with a 7-16 record. The team is hitting .253 and boasts a 5.00 era in the circle. Sarah Petosa leads Seattle at the plate with a .364 batting average and 10 RBIs.

Idaho State ended the 2011 season winning nine of its last 12 games in PCSC play. Vicky Galasso continues to lead the ISU offense with a .329 average, three homeruns and 17 RBIs. Idaho State leads the overall series 9-4 and the Bengals have won six of the last seven meetings. Last year ISU took three of four from Seattle at home.

Following this weekend Idaho State hosts Boise State on April 4 at 4 p.m. and then travels to Portland State for four games on April 6-7.
