“Anna stepped up huge for us today,” ISU Head Coach
Allison Gibson said. “A lot of people may not recognize just how much of a presence she is for is until she scores but she just continues to own the midfield and air game for us and I'm just really happy for her to be able to get those goals today.”
Boise State's Katy Oehring tied the score 2-2 with a goal at the 73:58 and BSU's Shannon Schueren scored the game winner in overtime at the 98:37 mark off a penalty kick.
“We started out a little slow in the first half and were not executing our game plan and unfortunately we gave up a silly goal,” Gibson said. “We came out stronger in the second half and had the winning goal for about five minutes. Overtime was back and forth and it's just unfortunate to lose like we did.”
