POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State men's basketball team returns to the road for games at Northern Colorado, (Jan. 31) and North Dakota (Feb. 2). Tipoff for the Northern Colorado game is at 7 p.m. while the North Dakota game starts at 1 p.m. (MST). Both games are on 102.5 KMGI and 930 KSEI with
Jerry Miller calling the action.
Northern Colorado is 5-13 and 3-7 in conference play. The Bears are scoring 68.7 points a game and shooting 45.5 percent from the field while averaging 35.2 rebounds a contest. Tate Unruh is the top scorer at 12.5 points a game while Derrick Barden is netting 12.1 points. Idaho State leads the overall series, 32-17, winning most recently 86-63 in Pocatello on January 5, 2013 in Holt Arena. Idaho State has won three straight over Northern Colorado and won 57-55 in Greeley last season. Idaho State is 8-6 against the Bears since they became a member of the Big Sky Conference in the 2006-07 season.
Idaho State vs. North Dakota
North Dakota is currently 8-11 and 5-5 in Big Sky Conference play. Troy Huff leads ND in scoring at 20.1 points a game in conference and 18.8 overall. Aaron Anderson is scoring 16.8 points a game in conference. As a team, North Dakota is scoring 69.9 points a game in league and 67 overall and shooting a clip of .413 and .405 in conference. North Dakota leads the series 2-1 as ND beat the Bengals 66-53 on January 3 in Holt Arena.

Idaho State lost 70-51 at first-place Montana on Thursday night.
Neveij Walters had a career-high 12 points while
Melvin Morgan had 10 in the loss. The Bengals led 31-29 at halftime but struggled offensively in the second half, shooting 5-for-23 from the field. Against Montana State, the Bengals rallied from 17 down in the second-half to force overtime but MSU pulled out the 61-59 win thanks to two free throws with just under 18 seconds to play.
Chris Hansen had a career-night with 20 points and nine rebounds.
Season High's for Sanchez
Tomas Sanchez had a career-high 22 points in the Bengals win over Sacramento State on January 17. He is shooting .455 percent from the field and .411 from the 3-point line through the first 19 games of the season. In Big Sky Conference games, Sanchez is shooting a .475 percent from the field. In the month of January the Bengal guard is averaging 13.4 points and shooting .478 percent from the field and .419 percent from the 3-point line.

Chris Hansen led the Bengals offensive attack with a team-best 14.1 point per game average and a team-best 4.4 rebounds. He has also made a team-best 21 3-pointers. He had a career-game at Montana State when he had 20 points and nine rebounds. He made a season-high seven field goals and six 3-pointers. He also has been active defensively, recording a team-best 15 steals.
