Bengal Volleyball Tops Eastern Washington 3-1

Box Score CHENEY, Wash. - Idaho State volleyball topped Eastern Washington 3-1 today in Cheney, Wash.

The Bengals took the first set 25-20 before dropping the second 20-25. They came back to easily win the third 25-16 and fourth 25-13.

Senior Lori Mendenhall-Lee led the Bengals with a double-double, 44 assists and 14 digs. Alydia Fields-Grimm also posted a double-double with 12 kills and 10 digs. Mendenhall-Lee posted two service aces and Fields-Grimm posted three.

Makenzie Filer led the team in attack percentage with .348. She posted 11 kills on 23 attempts with three errors. Filer holds the single season record for attack percentage with .403. Filer also led the Bengals in blocks with seven.

Tressa Lyman led in kills with 16 and Kylee Sessions led in digs with 15.

The Bengals posted a .282 attack percentage compared with Eastern Washington's .088. The Bengals were out-blocked by the Eagles 21-16.

Idaho State returns home this weekend to play Southern Utah on Friday, Oct. 25 and Northern Arizona on Saturday, Oct. 26. Both games begin at 7 p.m. in Reed Gym.
