Box Score POCATELLO, Idaho - Kylee Sessions posted a career-high five service aces, including four to close our the first set, in Idaho State volleyball's 3-0 sweep of Southern Utah.
The Bengals won their first set 25-17, the second 25-21 and the third 25-20. The Bengals have not dropped a set in Reed Gym this season.
Freshmen
Marissa Todd and
Sommer Reeder led the Bengals in kills with nine each.
Hayley Farrer led the Bengals in digs with nine. Senior
Lori Mendenhall-Lee posted 35 assists.
Makenzie Filer posted two solo blocks,
Tressa Lyman posted one assisted block and one solo block.
The Bengals posted a .240 attack percentage compared to Southern Utah's .188. The Bengals were out-blocked 9-5.
"I think Southern Utah is much better than their record shows. They made some good plays and they keep fighting," said Head Coach
Chad Teichert. "Credit goes to them for staying it in as long as they did. Credit goes to our girls for coming out and playing hard and getting the job done."
Idaho State returns to Reed Gym tomorrow night to take on Northern Arizona at 7 p.m.
