Bengal Volleyball Travels to Weber State

BENGAL OVERVIEW

Idaho State volleyball travels to Odgen, Utah tomorrow to play Weber State at 7 p.m. The Bengals are coming  off 3-0 wins against Montana State and Montana this weekend at Reed Gym. With their wins this weekend, the Bengals have a 4-2 Big Sky record and sit fourth in the conference.

AGAINST MONTANA STATE
The Bengals swept the Bobcats on Friday night 25-20, 25-19, 25-21. They posted an attack percentage of .234 compared to Montana State's .129. They out-blocked the Bobcats 25-16.

Alydia Fields-Grimm and Tressa Lyman both posted double-doubles in the match with 10 kills and 10 digs each.

AGAINST MONTANA
Idaho State topped Montana in three games (25-17, 25-17, 25-17). The Bengals posted a .327 attack percentage compared to Montana's .132. They out-blocked the Griz 19-10. Montana currently leads the conference in blocks with an average of 2.63 per set. The Bengals are ranked ninth in the conference with 2.03 per set.

ABOUT WEBER STATE
Weber State currently ranks ninth in the conference with a 1-5 Big Sky record. Last weekend, the lost to 4-1 to Montana and 3-0 to Montana State.

The Wildcats' lone conference win came last weekend when they defeated Northern Colorado 3-2 on Sept. 28. The Bengals beat the Bears 3-0 on Sept. 26.

MARISSA TODD    
Freshman Marissa Todd was named Bengal Athlete of the Week on Monday for her performances over the weekend. Against Montana, Todd had a career-best 15 kills on 26 attempts for a .462 attack percentage. Against Montana State, she had seven kills and two blocks.

TRESSA LYMAN AND ALYDIA FIELDS-GRIMM
Tressa Lyman and Alydia Fields-Grimm led the Bengals against Montana State with 10 kills and 10 digs each. Against Montana, Lyman led in digs with 10 and posted two blocks. Fields-Grimm had six kills, four digs and a block.

LORI MENDENHALL-LEE
Senior Lori Mendenhall-Lee led the Bengals in assists against both Montana State and Montana. Against Montana State, she posted 33 assists as well as three kills, three digs and three blocks. Against Montana, she had 39 assists as well as four kills, four digs and four blocks.

Mendenhall-Lee leads the conference in assists with an average of 10.95 per set. She also ranks 35 in the nation.

MAKENZIE FILER
Sophomore Makenzie Filer leads Big Sky sophomores in hitting percentage with .385 on the season and in aces with .48 per set. She had a .400 attack percentage against Montana State and . 385 against Montana.
