POCATELLO, Idaho - Idaho State volleyball swept the Weber State Wildcats tonight in Reed Gym. Weber State battled in the first set, won 25-20 by Idaho State before the Bengals topped them 25-11 in the second and 25-14 in the third. The win guarantees the Bengals at spot in the Big Sky Tournament.
Sophomore
Tressa Lyman led the Bengals with 10 assists, a .389 attack percentage and a solo block. Senior
Lori Mendenhall-Lee led in assists with 22 and had four assisted blocks.
Marissa Todd and
Makenzie Filer also posted four blocks.
"I think we're playing really well," said Mendenhall-Lee. "I think we decided that we needed to play better down the stretch, and I think we are starting to peak right now."
As a team, the Bengals posted a .314 attack percentage compared to Weber State's .000. They out-blocked the Wildcats 19-10.
Idaho State heads out on the road this weekend to take on Sacramento State this Friday at 8 p.m. They return home for the final two games of the regular season on Thursday, Nov. 21 and Saturday, Nov. 23.
