POCATELLO, Idaho - Tressa Lyman led the Bengals with 15 kills in Idaho State's sweep of reining Big Sky Champion Northern Colorado.

A solo block from freshman Sommer Reeder gave the Bengals a 25-21 first set win. Idaho State and the Bears battled to 32-30 Bengal win in the second. Idaho State came back from the break to win the final set 25-22.

Reeder led in blocks with four. Freshman Hayley Farrer led in digs with 11 and senior Lori Mendenhall-Lee led in assists with 40.

Idaho State posted a .205 attack percentage compared to Northern Colorado's .195. The Bengals out-blocked the Bears 15-9.

"It's always nice to win," said Head Coach Chad Teichert. "Northern Colorado has been one of the top teams in the conference for several years now, ever since I've been here. They lost a couple of players they didn't anticipate on losing, and so they're not where they intended to be, but they're still good. They're well coached, and they've got some good athletes. We can't overlook them because they are still good. To get a win against Northern Colorado is always a big deal."

The Bengals are back on the road next weekend to take on Montana and Montana State. They return home on Nov. 13 to play Weber State.
