Neveij Walters had a career-high 12 points while
Melvin Morgan had 10 in the loss. The Bengals led 31-29 at halftime but struggled offensively in the second half, shooting 5-for-23 from the field. Against Montana State, the Bengals rallied from 17 down in the second-half to force overtime but MSU pulled out the 61-59 win thanks to two free throws with just under 18 seconds to play.
Chris Hansen had a career-night with 20 points and nine rebounds. On Thursday, Northern Colorado hit 15 of 21 3-pointers to beat the Bengals 78-63.

Season High's for Sanchez
Tomas Sanchez had a career-high 22 points in the Bengals win over Sacramento State on January 17. He is shooting .449 percent from the field and .390 from the 3-point line through the first 20 games of the season. He is also averaging 3.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists. In Big Sky Conference games, Sanchez is shooting a .465 percent from the field. In the month of January the Bengal guard averaged 12.3 points a game.
Hot Hand in January
In the month of January,
Chris Hansen led the Bengals offensive attach with a 13.6 point per game average. He averaged a team-best 4.2 rebounds while making 34 3-pointers.
Tomas Sanchez averaged 12.3 points in January while
Melvin Morgan scored 12 and
Andre Hatchett eight.
Walters Solid Offensively in January
Neveij Walters had a solid month of January shooting the ball as he was 27-of-45, good for a 60 percent clip. He played 20.6 minutes a game, started four games, averaged 6.7 points and had a career-high 12 points at Montana.
Conference Play = Improved Numbers in Scoring
Since the start of Big Sky Conference play, the scoring has improved individually and as a team. In nonconference games
Melvin Morgan averaged 11.7 points and that average is up to 12.6 in league.
Chris Hansen averaged 10 and that has improved to 12.1 while
Tomas Sanchez averaged 8.9 points in nonleague games and is scoring 11.2 in Big Sky contests.
Andre Hatchett has improved his average from 5.7 points to 7.8 points and
Neveij Walters averaged three points in non league games and 6.2 is league. As a team ISU scored 48.4 points a game in nonconference contests and in Big Sky games that average jumps to 58.
