POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State softball team won the Big Sky Conference regular season championship by finishing 14-4 in league and 28-21 overall. This is the second championship in program history as the 1979 team went 25-9 and won the Intermountain Conference championship. This is the first winning-season for the Bengals since the program was brought back in 2007. The Bengals are the No. 1 seed while Portland State earned the two seed, SUU the three seed and Sacramento State the No. 4 seed.

Bengals vs. Sacramento State
Sacramento State leads the overall series 4-3. The Bengals won two of three meetings last weekend at Sacramento State to clinch the Big Sky Conference regular season championship.
Bengals vs. Portland State
Portland State leads the overall seris 17-5. Before ISU won two out of three meetings this year, the Vikings had won 14 of the last 15 meetings vs. ISU.
Bengals vs. SUU
Idaho State leads the overal lseries 13-9. The T-Birds took two out of three from ISU to open conference play on March 29-30.
School Record for Wins
Saturday's win vs. North Dakota set the Idaho State school record for most wins in a season with 26. The previous record was 25 held by the 1979 team. That team went 25-9 and won the Intermountain Conference championship. This year's Bengal softball team finshed the regular season 28-21 and 14-4 in Big Sky Conference play.
Eight Bengals earn All-Conference Honors
Vicky Galasso was named the first-ever Big Sky Conference Player of the Year and
Maddy Hickman was named the conference Freshman of the Year. Galasso and Hickman were also unamious first-team all-conference selctions along with
Amanda Fitzsimmons.
Katelyn Marquez and
Terah Blackwell also earned first-team all-conference.
Becky Molyneaux earned second-team honors and
Katee Wiley and
Hailey Breakwell earned honorable mention.
