Bengals Top Georgia Tech, Fall to New Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE, N. M
. - The Idaho State Volleyball team topped Georgia Tech 25-21, 25-19, 25-20 in their opening match of the Sheraton Airport Lobos Classic hosted by the University of New Mexico.

The Bengals were led by Tressa Lyman's 19 kills and 22.5 points and Lori Mendenhall-Lee's 35 assists. Redshirt freshman Hayley Farrer led the Bengals in digs with 16.

Idaho State posted a .239 attack percentage compared with Georgia Tech's .146.

In their second match, the Bengals fell 25-22, 25-11 and 25-18 to the tournament host New Mexico.

Makenzie Filer posted a team-high six kills and three blocks. She also led the Bengals in points with 7.5. Mendenhall-Lee had 21 assists.

New Mexico had a .309 attack percentage compared to Idaho State's .041.

The Bengals play their final game of the Lobos Classic tomorrow morning at 11:30 a.m. against UC Riverside. Live stats are available here.
