POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State men's basketball team begins a stretch of playing three-games in a week, beginning Monday, January 20 at Weber State. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. in Ogden, Utah.

Weber State leads the series 75-48. The Wildcats swept the series last year, winning 70-54 in Pocatello and 56-40 in Ogden. The last time ISU won in Ogden was a 58-55 victory on January 4, 2007. The last Bengal win in Pocatello was a 64-62 victory on January 28, 2012.
Weber State is 7-6 and 4-1 in Big Sky Conference play. The Wildcats are averaging 71.1 points a game overall and 68.2 in league play. The Weber State defense is allowing 65.3 points overall and 63.6 point in Big Sky play. Davion Berry leads WSU in scoring at 16.4 points a game. As a team, WSU is shooting .462 overall and .457 in Big Sky play. Joel Bolomboy is the top rebounder at 10.4 boards a game in conference and 9.5 overall.
Best Conference Starts in the Last 10 Years
The Bengals 3-2 start in Big Sky Conference play is the fourth time in 10 years they have been .500 or better and the first time since the 2008-09 season. The four other seasons ISU was .500 or better through the first five league games came in 2008-09 (3-2), 2007-08 (3-2), 2006-07 (5-0) and 2003-04 (3-2).
Century Mark
Weber State is one of only five schools the Bengals have played more than 100 times. This is the 124th meeting between the two schools. The Bengals have played Boise State 107 times, Montana 141, Montana State 186 and Idaho 103 times.
Getting Offensive
This year the Bengal men's basketball team has shot 50 percent or better from the field in five of the team's 14 games. Last year ISU shot 50 percent or better in only one game (.638 at home vs. Montana State). In the 2011-12 season ISU only shot 50 percent or better in five games and in the 2010-11 and 2009-10 season the Bengals managed only six games of shooting 50 percent or better. ISU did shoot 50 percent or better in 11 games in the 2008-09 season.
Scoring Spree for Hatchett
Andre Hatchett has started Big Sky Conference play with the hot hand. Through the first five games he is averaging 20.8 points, shooting .589 percent from the floor (33-56), .685 percent from the free throw line (37-54) and averaging six rebounds a game while dishing out 16 assists in the five games. He had a career high 27 vs. Eastern Washington, scored 24 vs. Portland State, 25 at Northern Colorado, 11 at North Dakota and 17 vs. SUU. Hatchett was named the Big Sky Conference and College Sports Madness Player of the Week for his performances vs. Eastern Washington and Portland State.
