ABOUT THE BENGALS

Idaho State enters the final home match of the season needing a victory over Weber State to qualify for the Big Sky post-season tournament.  Any other result will mean the end of the 2014 season.

The Bengals are the 2nd highest scoring team in the Big Sky with 29 goals. 20 of the 29 goals have come after halftime.  12 of those have come in the 71st minute or later.

The 1.81 goals/game is the second highest average in school history (2.16, 2000) and ranks 69th in the nation.

They are also lead the conference in shots with 16.62/game.

Head Coach Allison Gibson enters her ninth season as the winningest coach in Idaho State history.

Amanda Ellsworth
The senior leads the Big Sky Conference in both goals (13) and points (28).  Both of those marks are a school record for a single season. Her 55 shots ranks 3rd in a season in ISU history while the 28 shots on goal is 5th.

She has 36 career goals and 81 points which is tied for the most in Big Sky history.

Her hat trick against Hawaii marks just the second player in school history to tally three goals in a game. She is 14th in the nation in goals scored and 13th in goals per game (.857). She has scored a goal in nine of the 16 matches this season. She has registered a point in ten of the 16.

The Bengals are 6-2-1 this season when she scores a goal.

Maria Sanchez
The freshman is second in the Big Sky in assists (6) while ranking 3rd in points (18) and 4th in goals (6).

Her 54 shots and 29 shots on goal is fourth in school history for a single season.  The six assists is tied for 7th for a single season in ISU history.


ABOUT WEBER STATE
Weber State enters the match with a 2-6-1 Big Sky record after falling to Southern Utah 2-1 in overtime in their last match.

The Wildcats lead the overall series 10-6-3. Last season's match ended in a 1-1 tie. The Bengals are 2-5-1 against Weber State in Ogden and have not won in Weber County since 2002.
