Bengals Look to Keep Rolling

ABOUT THE BENGALS
Idaho State enters the weekend on a seven-match winning streak and undefeated in Big Sky Conference play. The Bengals have won 21 of the last 23 sets. ISU will host Northern Colorado Friday at 7p.m. inside Reed Gym before welcoming North Dakota to Pocatello Saturday at 7 p.m.
 
SCOUTING NORTHERN COLORADO
This will be the 23rd meeting between the Bengals and the Bears.  Northern Colorado leads the overall series 15-7, but ISU has won the last three matches and five of the last six.  ISU defeated UNC twice in the 2013 regular season and then again in the Big Sky Tournament.
 
The Bears enter Friday on a two-match winning streak and a 9-7 record. They are 2-2 in Big Sky play.
 
Northern Colorado is second in the conference with13.39 kills/set.  They have two of the top three players in attack percentage.
 
Outside hitter Kendra Cunningham leads the team in kills with 3.15/set.  Ashley Guthrie is tops in assists with 9.76/set and Audrey Landrey has collected the most digs with 3.37/set.
 
SCOUTING NORTH DAKOTA
This will be the 6th meeting between the Bengals and UND.  Idaho State leads the overall series 3-2.  The Bengals lost both matches during the regular season in 2013 but bounced back to beat North Dakota in the Big Sky Tournament.
 
UND enters the weekend as the only other undefeated team in Big Sky play (4-0).  They enter the weekend on a five-match winning streak. They will play Weber State Friday night before traveling to Pocatello.
 
North Dakota leads the conference in blocks (2.74/set) and digs (16.95/set). Freshman Faith Dooley leads the Big Sky with1.42 blocks/set
 
 
TEAM NOTES
-The Bengals have yet to play a five-set match this season. Just one match (Nov. 23, 2013 vs Portland State) in the past 25 has gone the distance (21 straight).
 
- ISU is 14-3 in the first set of matches this season.
 
- The seven-match winning streak is tied for 12th longest in the nation
 
 - The most dominant set win for ISU came in the UVU tournament when the Bengals defeated UC Riverside 25-10.
 
- In the ten wins this season, the Bengals are holding their opponents to a .140 attack percentage
 
- In Big Sky play the Bengals are holding their opponents to a conference best 1.40 attack percentage. They are also tops in service aces with 2.46/set over the first four matches.
 
- Idaho State is 29th in the nation with 1.61 aces per set
