POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State men's basketball team beat Montana Tech 66-59 in its final exhibition game Wednesday, November 5, at Reed Gym.
Idaho State shot 42 percent from the field while Montana Tech shot 46 percent.
Nnamdi Ezenwa led ISU in scoring with 19 points.
"He was better today and I don't think he was bad last week," Head Coach
Bill Evans said. "I think Nnamdi has been one of our most consistent guys."
Jeffrey Solarin had 15 points and 12 rebounds while
Andre Slavik had eight points and five rebounds.
Ian Fox came off the bench to score 11 points 21 minutes of action.
Idaho State outrebounded Montana Tech 40-29.
The Bengals lead 35-28 at the half. Montana Tech shot 12-for-26 in the first half from the field while Idaho State shot 13-for-33.
Montana Tech stayed with the Bengals in the first 20 minutes of play as they led 26-24 with five minutes left in the period. The Bengals then went on an 11-2 run in the final five minutes to take the seven-point lead at the break.
Idaho State never trailed in the second half and led by as many as 12 points at 50-38 with 12:28 left in the game.
The Bengals travel to Albuquerque, N.M. Friday, November 14, to take on the University of New Mexico. Tipoff is at 8 p.m. and it will be broadcast on Root Sports.
