POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State men's basketball team plays its fourth game in eight days with a 7 p.m. contest at Montana on Saturday, Feb. 22. The game will be broadcast live on 930 CBS Sports Radio and Rock 102.5 with
Jerry Miller calling the action. Idaho State is in the thick of its goal to qualify for the Big Sky Conference tournament as only one game separates third place from 10th place.
Montana has won eight straight over the Bengals and they lead the series 96-46. The last ISU win in Missoula was a 56-54 victory during the 2007-08 season.
Montana is 13-11 overall and 8-7 in league. The Griz are scoring 72.8 points a game and shooting .480 percent from the field overall and .476 in conference. Kareem Jamar is scoring 19.8 points a game and grabbing 5.6 rebounds. Jordan Gregory is averaging 14.1 points a game.
Century Mark
Idaho State and Montana State is the longest standing rivarly in program history. The teams have battled it out 188 times. The Bobcats lead the series 105-83. Montana is the second-longest rivarly as the teams have played 142 times with UM leading the series 96-46. Idaho State has played Weber State 124 times, Boise State 107 times and Idaho 103.
Hansen Putting up the Points
Since arriving at Idaho State,
Chris Hansen has proven to be an instant scorer for the Bengals. He has scored 748 points in just under two seasons. His streak of scoring double figures in 18 straight games came to an end, Thursday, at Montana State. This season he has scored in double figures in 21 of 24 games and has 20 points or more in eight games and three last year. For his career he has scored in double figures in 37 of 54 games.
When Opponents Shoot over 50%
The Feb. 6 win over Northern Colorado was the first time this season the Bengals have won a game when the opponents have shot 50 percent or greater. ISU is now 1-6 this year when teams shoot 50 percent or better from the field. The Bengals were 1-6 last season when opponents above 50 percent. That win was the season-ending 72-71 win over Portland State. The Vikings shot 50.9 percent.

- ISU's 8-3 home record is the best since the 2008-09 team went 11-4 at home.

- Other then the loss at Northern Colorado where the Bengals shot .563 percent, ISU has not shot better than 48.1 percent in the other 13 losses. In eight of the losses, ISU has shot less than 44 percent.
