Bengals Host Boise State on Tuesday at Miller Ranch Stadium

Idaho State is in first place in the Big Sky Conference.

POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State softball team plays its final home regular season game of the 2014 season Tuesday, April 29 at 4 p.m. vs. Boise State of the Mountain West Conference. The Bengals then close out conference play on May 3-4 at North Dakota.

The Week That Was
Idaho State beat SUU 10-3 and 3-2 on Sunday to take over first-place in the Big Sky Conference. Saturday was scheduled to be a double header but the day was rained out, forcing two games to be played on Sunday. In the 3-2 game two win, Vicky Galasso hit a lead-off walk-off home run in the bottom of the bottom of the seventh. Two of her three hits on the day were home runs. The Bengals had 19 hits, six home runs and 13 RBIs in the two games. Jessica Tolmie earned the game two, 3-2 win and Haley Douglas improved to 16-10 in the 10-3 win.

About Boise State
Boise State is 26-19 and 11-7 in the Mountain West Conference. The Broncos are hitting .293 as a team and led by Mackenzie Whyte, who is hitting .376 with four home runs and 21 RBIs. Rebecca Patton is the top pitcher for the Broncos. She has a 21-11 record and a 3.16 ERA in 204 innings pitched.

Kacie Burnett ranks eighth in batting average (.469), third in runs per game (1.24), seventh in triples (5), 19th in triples per game (.11), 31st in stolen bases per game (.57) and 33rd in on base percentage (.525).

Terah Blackwell is first in the nation in RBIs per game (1.5), 12th in home runs (16), 15th in home runs per game (.35) and 36th in slugging percentage (.778). Bailey Foster ranks 27th in saves with three and Maddy Hickman ranks ninth in sac flies with five.
