Bengals Beat Robert Morris; Fall to Butler

POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State volleyball team split the final day of the Omni Invitational at the University of Colorado on Saturday, sweeping Robert Morris 3-0 and losing to Butler 3-1. The Bengals are 3-6 on the season.

In the win over Robert Morris, ISU won 25-16, 25-13 and 25-17. ISU had a hitting percentage of .304 while Robert Morris hit .45. Alydia Fields-Grimm had nine kills, 13 digs and a hitting percentage of .421. Hayley Farrer had 43 assists and Amy Sorensen had 14 digs.

In the loss to Butler, ISU won the first set 25-18 before dropping the next three, 29-31, 23-25 and 18-25.

Tressa Lyman had 13 kills and 16 digs while Fields-Grimm had 12 kills, 15 digs and a hitting percentage .346.

Farrer had 40 assists, nine kills and a hitting percentage of .444. Kylee Session had 17 digs and the team hit .146 for the match while Butler hit .196.

Idaho State plays its home opener on Tuesday, September 16 at 7 p.m. vs. No. 8 BYU in Reed Gym.
