VideoPOCATELLO, Idaho- Idaho State plays its home opener on Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. in Reed Gym vs. No. 12 BYU. The last time a nationally ranked team came to Pocatello was when No. 16 Utah beat the Bengals 3-0 on Oct. 3, 2006 in Reed Gym (21-30, 21-30, 28-30). Tuesday's match can be heard live on KISU.
Chad Teichert has a 104-88 record in his seventh season as the Idaho State head coach.
SERIES VS. BYUBYU leads the series 25-1. ISU is 0-10 against the Cougars in Pocatello. The Bengals one win was a 3-2 victory in 1989 in Provo. This is the first meeting between the two schools since BYU beat ISU 3-2 on Sept. 4, 2010 in Provo.
ABOUT THE COUGARSBYU is 7-2 and coming off a weekend where it swept New Mexico State and UTEP and lost in four sets to No. 14 Colorado State. Jennifer Hamson leads BYU with 112 kills and a .358 hitting percentage. BYU is hitting .256 as a team.
BENGAL BITES- Kylee Session has double figure digs in every match this year but two. She had eight against UAB and seven against Arizona State. She had double figure digs in all but 11 matches last year. Her season high in 2014 is 20 at Utah State and her high in 2013 was 26 vs. North Dakota in the Big Sky Tournament.

Tressa Lyman has had double figure kills in every match but Robert Morris. She had a season-high 18 kills at Utah State. She has three double-doubles this year. She had 18 kills and 15 digs at Utah State, 12 kills and 11 digs vs. Saint Mary's and 13 kills and 16 digs vs. Butler.

Makenzie Filer has two matches with double-figure kills. She had 14 at Utah State and 10 at Arizona State.
