Box Score TEMPE, Ariz. – Idaho State volleyball fell 3-1 in a competitive match against Big 10 foe, Iowa, in the Bengals final match of the Residence Inn Challenge at Wells Fargo Arena Saturday night.
For the second night in a row the Bengals took the first set against big five conference competition. The Bengals had a .250 attack percentage and held Iowa to .132 in the first frame en route to a 25-20 win.
Iowa bounced back in the second set. The Hawkeyes hit a .368 attack percentage and held the advantage from the first serve of the second set leading to a 25-17 win.
The final two sets were close affairs but Iowa came out on top with a score of 25-22 in both sets.
Tressa Lyman again led the Bengals with 12 kills but she was joined by sophomore
Bailey Bars who also tallied 12 kills.
Hayley Farrer tallied 32 assists. Kylee Searle-Sessions had a match-high 11 digs.
The Bengals travel to Boulder, Colo. next weekend for the Omni Invitational where ISU will face Colorado, Butler and Robert Morris.
