POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State men's basketball lost 90-64 to Montana on Saturday night at ICCU Court in Holt Arena. Montana hit 15 3-pointers, 11 coming in the first half, en route to the victory.
Idaho State had four players score in double figures for the first time this season, led by
Marcus Bradley's 19 points.
Nnamdi Ezenwa had 11 points,
Jeffrey Solarin 10 and
Evann Hall 10. Ezenwa had a career-high nine rebounds.
"We didn't defend at all," Idaho State coach
Bill Evans said. "That is the bottom line. I don't think we competed and we were not into it mentally."
Idaho State shot 47.4 percent from the field and only turned the ball over eight times but Montana shot 55.8 percent for the game and 67.9 percent in the first half. Montana dished out 21 assists and Brandon Gfeller had a career-high 23 points.
Montana led the entire game and jumped out to a 9-0 lead. The Bengals trailed 56-36 at halftime and Montana led by as many as 30 points at 90-60 late in the final minutes of the contest.
Idaho State returns to the court for games at SUU and Northern Arizona next week.
