POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State men's basketball team lost 80-69 to North Dakota on Saturday afternoon at the Sioux Center in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
Nnamdi Ezenwa led ISU with 17 points and seven rebounds.
Jeffrey Solarin had 12 points and tied his season-high with 14 rebounds.
Marcus Bradley scored 12 points off the bench and grabbed five rebounds.
Ben Wilson had 10 points, five rebounds three assists and four steals.
Idaho State shot 35.7 percent from the field while North Dakota shot 54.4 percent. UND out rebounded the Bengals 43-40 and hit seven 3-pointers on 19 attempts. North Dakota had 17 assists, 10 coming from Quinton Hooker.
The Bengals led early in the game. Their biggest lead was 18-14 following a Solarin basket with 9:54 remaining in the first half. UND then closed out the half on a 23-8 run to take a 37-26 lead at the break.
North Dakota led by as many as 19 points in the second half at 61-42 with 10:56 left in the game. ISU made a run to get within six at 74-68 with 1:55 remaining on a layup by Solarin but that would be the closest they would come.
Idaho State returns to the court, Saturday, Feb 7 p.m. for a 7 p.m. contest against Weber State at ICCU Court in Holt Arena.
