POCATELLO, Idaho- Behind a school record 17 3-pointers, the Idaho State men's basketball team beat Dickinson State 110-85 on Monday night in Reed Gym. The 110 points tied for the 15th most points in a game in program history. The 110 points was the most since ISU beat Eastern Oregon 113-68 on Nov. 25, 1994.

"We were playing together," Ethan Telfair said. "We were rotating and we have trust in one another which helps us a lot."

Idaho State shot 52.2 percent from the floor and made its 17 3-pointers on a school-record 38 attempts. The Bengals were 35-67 from the field and 23-31 from the free throw line.

"I do think we are a good shooting team," Idaho State coach Bill Evans said. "But I don't think we defended like we needed to. I didn't like the way we guarded. You have to remember that we played a whole bunch of guys and sometimes that can be disruptive, and I wouldn't want it any other way, I just think we can be better defensively."

Telfair led four ISU players in double figures with 23 points on six-of-nine shooting. He had five assists, three steals, one block, four rebounds and made four of his six three-point attempts.

Gary Chivichyan scored 15 points off the bench in 17 minutes of play and Clint Nwosuh added 13 and Geno Luzcando 11. Every Bengal that dressed played at least nine minutes and scored.

"We had a lot of good looks from the three-point line," Evans said. "You can't tell a good shooter not to shoot when they are open."

ISU was out rebounded 41-34 but had 21 assists to only nine turnovers. The defense forced nine steals and blocked eight shots.

Dickinson State shot 44.6 percent from the field and was led by Thomas Cowan's 22 points.

Idaho State led the entire game and by as many as 36 points with 8:53 left in the game. The Bengals led 65-40 at halftime and shot 65.7 percent from the field.

Idaho State now heads to the road for five straight games beginning, Friday, November 20 at Washington State. Tipoff is at 9 p.m. mountain time and the game can be heard live on 101.1 KEIR and seen live on the Pac 12 Network.
