Â
ISU (11-12, 6-6 BSC) held the other NAU (10-12, 6-5 BSC) players to just 34% shooting from the field.
Â
Jasmine Lemon's jumper just eight seconds into the second half cut the Bengals' deficit to just one at 27-26 but the 'Jacks would immediately respond with a 9-0 run to push the lead to double-digits.Â
Â
"I thought we played tremendous defense especially in the first half and for the majority of the second half," Head Coach
Seton Sobolewski said. "Our problem was offense. We had so many silly turnovers."
Â
Lemon (10 points) was the only player to score in double-figures for Idaho State. Three ISU players fouled out and one more finished with four fouls.
Â
"You gotta give credit to NAU because they took about eight charges tonight," Sobolewski said.
Â
The Bengals made a move in the second half going on a 9-1 run to trim the NAU advantage to 37-35 with just 12 minutes left to play. The home team would close the game outscoring ISU 25-12.
