POCATELLO, Idaho – The Idaho State soccer team hits the road to face Weber State Sunday, Oct. 16 in its only game of the week. The Bengals, who were picked to finish last this season in the preseason Big Sky Conference polls, are currently tied in fourth with Weber State; to make post-season play, Idaho State must finish in the top six in conference play. With four games left in the regular season, every goal and game is important.
SCOUTING WEBER STATE
Weber State carries a 5-7-1 overall record with a 3-3-0 conference record; the Wildcats and Bengals are in a deadlock tie with an identical record and point total of nine.
Heading into this week's play, WSU averaged 1.00 goals per game with 13 goals in 13 games. The Wildcats carry a .110 shot percentage with a .492 shot on goal percentage as they have recorded 58 shots on goal in 118 attempts.
Seven Wildcats have scored this season led by Morgan Quarnberg and Paige Stevens with three each. Quarnberg leads the offensive attack with nine total points as she has recorded three assists in addition to her three season goals.
Weber State is led by Head Coach Tim Crompton who is in his 12th season at the helm of the program.
SERIES REVIEW
This will be the 22nd time in program history that Idaho State has faced Weber State. The Wildcats have the advantage in the series with a 7-11-3 overall record. The Bengals fell to WSU 1-0 in Pocatello in the last meeting on Oct. 30, 2015.
