Bengals Close Out Nonconference Play at CSUN

POCATELLO, Idaho- Idaho State concludes nonconference play on Saturday, Dec. 23 at CSUN. Tipoff is at 4 p.m. mountain time. Jerry Miller will call the game live on 102.5 KMGI and live stats, audio and video will be available through isubengals.com. Following Saturday's game ISU opens Big Sky play on Dec. 30 at Weber State.

Scouting CSUN
CSUN is 1-10, 1-1 at home and 0-7 on the road. Tavrion Johnson leads the Matadors in scoring at 14.8 points and 5.4 rebounds a game. Michael Warren is scoring 12.1 points and averaging 6.5 rebounds and Terrell Gomez is scoring 11 points a game. CSUN averages 65.4 points a game and gives up 75.5. CSUN shoots .427 percent from the field, .349 percent from the three-point line and .658 percent from the free throw line. CSUN averages 33.2 rebounds, 10.9 assists, 11.5 turnovers, 3.9 steals and 2.8 blocks a game.

Ingram Finds The Open Man
Graduate-student Kyle Ingram, who is a 6-8 forward, has turned into one the best passers on the team as he has 23 assists to only four turnovers. The only other Bengal who plays significant minutes who has a positive assist to turnover ratio is back up guard Sam Dowd, who has 13 assists to 10 turnovers.

Stutzman Plays
Idaho State's Jared Stutzman received word the morning of Nov. 22 that he would he immediately be eligible to play this season. He was not on the trip to San Jose but once he received word he was good to play he boarded a plan that morning and landed late afternoon where he played and scored 12 points in 15 minutes off the bench in the loss at San Jose State. In the following game against Seattle he earned his first start of the season and in his first home game vs. Bethesda he scored a game-high 20 points.

He  is averaging 13.3 points, shooting 56 percent from the floor and 51.7 percent from the three-point line.

Notes From The Loss to BYU
