POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State softball team returns to the road for a three-game series at Southern Utah April 14-15. Both days begin at 12 p.m. with a double header taking place on Friday, April 14. All three games can be viewed on Watch Big Sky. Following this weekends series in Cedar City, the Bengals host Weber State on April 21-22.
Scouting Southern Utah
Southern Utah is 9-21 and 5-4 in Big Sky Conference play. The Bengals lead the series 18-14 and have won five of the last seven meetings. Southern Utah won the three-game series last year in Pocatello, taking two of three from the Bengals. SUU won 14-7 in nine innings and 2-0 before ISU took game 3 7-3. The T-Birds are hitting .268 and Megan Reed leads the offense with a .342 average and Hannah Williams is batting .333. The pitching staff has a 6.37 era and Kirsten Hostetler is 5-6 with a 5.40 era.
