Bengals Take Down Northern Colorado 2-1 in 2 OT

GREELEY, Colo. – Michaela Didericksen scored the game-winning goal in the 103rd minute on a rebound shot to lift Idaho State to a 2-1 victory at Northern Colorado on Sunday afternoon. Idaho State is now 1-1 in Big Sky Conference play and 2-8 overall while Northern Colorado dropped to 7-4 and 1-1 in Big Sky play.

The game was scoreless after the first half and Idaho State took a 1-0 lead in the 66th minute when Makena Bambei took a cross from Didericksen and put the ball in the back of the net.

Despite great defensive pressure by the Bengals throughout the entire game, Northern Colorado tied the game when Brooke Braden scored in the 87th minute.

After a scoreless first 10 minute overtime period, Didericksen put in the game winner three minutes into the second period when she put in a rebound shot after her initial miss.
