POCATELLO, Idaho-
The Idaho State men's basketball team returns to the road for an instate contest at Boise State on Nov. 10. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. and the game can be heard live on KORR 104.1. To follow the game online log onto isubengals.com. Following Saturday's game the Bengals play their home opener vs. Pacific on Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. in Reed Gym.

Scouting Boise State
This is Boise State's season opener. The Broncos defeated Vavnguard 89-63 in an exhibition game on Nov. 5.  Boise State was 23-9 last year and 13-5 in Mountain West games. The Broncos were 15-1 at Taco Bell Arena and lost 77-74 in the first round of the NIT at Washington. Boise was picked to finish fourth in the preseason polls and they return nine players, two being starters from last years team.

Recapping Gonzaga
- Five players saw their first action as an Idaho State Bengal.
- Chier Maker had 14 points and seven rebounds in his debut and Kelvin Jones had 11 points in 13 minutes in his first action as a Bengal.  
- Fresh off an LDS mission Austin Smellie scored five points in 19 minutes off the bench in his first action on the court in a little over two years.
- Alonzo Walker had nine points and six rebounds in 22 minutes off the bench in his first action as a Bengal and Chidi Udengwu had five points and four rebounds in eight minutes off the bench.
- 70 field goal attempts is the most since attempting 70 vs. Weber State on January  27, 2017.
- 12 different players saw action.

Idaho State shot 47.5 percent from the field last year. It was the best field goal percentage by a Bengal team since the 1996-97 team shot .475 percent and the 2003-04 team shot .463 percent. The school record for best field goal percentage in a season is .512 percent by the 1980-81 team.
