Bengals Play at Portland State on Saturday

POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State men's basketball team continues its road trip with a 2 p.m. (MST) contest at Portland State on Saturday, Feb. 17. Jerry Miller will call the action live on 102.5 KMGI with the pregame show begining at 1:30 p.m. To follow the game with live stats, audio and video, fans can log onto isubengals.com. Following Saturday afternoon's game, ISU plays its final two home games on Feb. 22 and 24 vs. Idaho and Eastern Washington. Both games begin at 7 p.m. in Reed Gym.

Scouting Portland State
Portland State is 15-11 and 5-8 in Big Sky Conference play. Bryce Canda is scoring 14.8 points a game and Holland Woods is averaging 10.2 points. The Vikings score 86.8 points a game and give up 79.9. PSU shoots .448 from the field, .346 from the three-point line and .703 percent from the free throw line. The Vikings average 37.9 rebounds, 16.9 assists, 12.7 turnovers, 10.5 steals and 3.7 blocks a game.  

In conference play, Portland State is scoring 79.9 points a game and giving up 82.1. The Vikings are shooting .433 percent from the field and .298 percent from the three-point line. PSU shoots .729 percent from the free throw line and averages 14.3 assists per game.

Notes From the Win Over Sacramento State
- Brandon Boyd had a career-high six assists and played a season-high 39 minutes.
- Gary Chivichyan had a career-high 25 points. His eight field goals made a career-high and his eight 3-pointers made was a career-high. His 11 three-point field goal attempts was a season-high and his 33 minutes played was a season-high.
- The win in Sacramento was the first since a 68-67 victory on Jan. 14, 2012.
