POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State softball team plays its final nonconference game on Wednesday, April 25 at Boise State. First pitch is at 3 p.m. Live stats and video will be available through isubengals.com.
Idaho State comes into Wednesday's game with a 10-30 record and a 5-10 mark in Big Sky Conference play. Boise State is 31-13 and 10-5 in Mountain West Conference play.
Makenzie Van Sickle leads the Bengal offense with a .324 average and
Genesis Zamora is batting .312 with one homer and eight RBIS.
Ashlyn Ames has a team-best five homers and
Emma Bordenkecher leads the team in RBIs with 20.
The Bengals are hitting .245 as a team and the pitching staff has a 5.90 era overall.
Mariah Mulcahy has six wins in 100 innings of work while Ames has three wins in 124.2 innings.
Boise State leads the overall series 17-5. The Broncos have won seven of the last eight meetings.
Following Wednesday afternoon's game at Boise State, ISU plays is final home games April 27-28 against Southern Utah. The doubleheader on April 27 starts at 2 p.m. while the April 28 game begins at 1 p.m. Prior to the start of Saturday's game Ames will be honored on Senior Day.
