POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State volleyball team took down Portland State 3-2 on Oct. 12 in Reed Gym.
The Bengals out-killed the Vikings in the first set 15-12 and out-blocked them 3-1 to take set one 25-22.
The second set was another Bengal victory, 25-19 to give them a 2-0 advantage.
The third and fourth set went in favor of the Vikings, 25-17 and 25-13, taking the match into a fifth and final set that the Bengals capitalized on, 16-14.
Senior
Haylie Keck led the team with 20 kills and 22 digs followed by redshirt junior
Taylor Meeks 13 kills, eight blocks, and a .370 hitting percentage.
Sophomore Mahala Braburn recorded 29 digs in the match.
Redshirt freshman
Andri Dewey had 29 assists and senior
Nikole Cook recorded 20.
Idaho State continues conference play on the road next week against Montana (Oct. 17) at 7 p.m in Missoula, Mont. and Montana State (Oct. 19) at 7 p.m. (MST) in Bozeman, Mont.
