POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State men's basketball team returns to the road to play at NAU on Thursday, Feb. 7 and at SUU on Saturday, Feb. 9. Tipoff at NAU is at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday's tip in Cedar City, Utah is at 2 p.m.

Scouting NAU
NAU is 7-14 and 5-6 in Big Sky Conference play. NAU scores 72.1 points a game and gives up 77.2. Bernie Andre leads the Lumberjacks in scoring at 13.3 points a game. Carlos Hines scores 12.3 and Ted McCree scores 11.9 points a game. Andre averages a team-best 7.4 rebounds. NAU shoots .430 percent from the field and opponents shoot .464 percent.
In Big Sky play Andre is scoring 13.9 points a game and averaging 8.6 rebounds. McCree scores 12.9 points and Hines 11.6 in league play. NAU shoots .430 percent in league and holds opponents to .442 percent.
Recapping Portland State
- Idaho State is now 6-1 when holding opponents to under 70 points.

- In a game that had 11 ties and 17 lead changes, the Idaho State men's basketball team outlasted Portland State 69-67 on Saturday.
- Idaho State led 69-64 with 1:23 left in the game and survived two-last second shot attempts by the Vikings to earn the victory.

Gary Chivichyan led the Bengals with 16 points making four of eight 3-pointers.
Balint Mocsan and
Brandon Boyd each had 14 points and four assists.
Kelvin Jones had 10 rebounds, seven points and two assists.
Alonzo Walker had 10 points and six rebounds.
- The Bengals shot 50.9 percent from the field, holding Portland State to 43.3 percent. Idaho State made nine 3-pointers on 25 attempts and had 15 assists to only seven turnovers.
- The game was close the entire way as Idaho State's biggest lead was seven points and Portland State's biggest lead was three.
- The Bengals trailed 30-29 with 3:59 left in the first half before going on a 9-5 run to end the half up 38-35. Chivichyan hit a 3-pointer to begin the run, followed by two 3-pointers by Mocsan. Â
- ISU held its largest lead of the game at 56-49 following a 3-pointer by Chivichyan with 13:10 left in game. With 4:37 remaining, the game was tied at 62 for the eleventh and final time.
- ISU then went on a 7-2 run to take a 69-64 lead with 1:23 to play. The Bengal defense held tough in the final minute to earn the win.

In Idaho State's eight wins,
Brandon Boyd leads the team in scoring with an average of 12.8 points a game.
Gary Chivichyan scores 11.3 points a game and
Balint Mocsan scores 11 points a contest.
Jared Stutzman averages 9.4 points in wins. Idaho State shoots .444 percent from the field and .400 percent from the three-point line. The Bengals average 39.4 rebounds a game and score 78.8 points a game and hold opponents to 65.2 points a game.
