POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State softball team heads to the Seattle, Washington for the Washington Husky Classic March 8-10. The Bengals open the tournament on Thursday, March 8 vs. Seattle U and Northern Illinois. The Bengals then play Ohio State and No. 6 Washington on March 9, and will face No. 6 Washington again on March 10. For information on how to follow the games log onto isubengals.com.

Seattle U
Seattle U leads the series 11-10. Idaho State faced Seattle U twice in 2016 , winning 8-0 and losing 3-2.
Northern Illinois
Northern Illinois leads the series 2-0. The Bengals dropped a 5-2 decision in 2011 and a 1-0 game in 2010.
Ohio State
Ohio State leads the series 1-0. The Bengals lost to Ohio State 6-2 in 2012.
No. 6 Washington
Washington leads the series 2-0. The most recent meeting was a 10-2 five inning loss in 2012.
Recapping Week 2 at Colorado State
The Bengals went 1-3 last weekend, beating Stony Brook, 10-8. Idaho State lost 10-4 (9) to Nebraska, 16-0 (5) to Colorado State, and 5-0 to Nebraska again.
Emma Bordenkecher led the offense with a .462 average in thirteen at bats with a .846 slugging percentage. She had six hits, one homerun, four RBIs and scored three runs. Cassidy Fitzgerald hit .333 with nine hits. Kelsey Sweeney earned the win against Stony Brook with 4.1 innings pitched and three strikeouts.
And the Winner Is...
Emma Bordenkecher is the second Bengal to earn a Big Sky Player of the Week honor. For her performance at the Colorado State Classic she earned Big Sky Player of the Week. In four games, Bordenkecher hit .462 with six hits, two doubles, one homerun, four RBIs, three runs scored, and an .846 slugging percentage. Bordenkecher also recorded two stolen bases. This is her second career Big Sky Player of the Week honor.
