POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State softball team lost 9-0 in five innings to Northern Illinois in its first game of the Washington Husky Classic in Seattle, Wash. The Bengals first game vs. Seattle U was canceled due to weather.
Mariah Mulcahy took the loss as she pitched four innings and allowed 11 hits.
NIU scored four runs in the first inning, two in the second, one in the third and two in the fourth inning.
Idaho State was held hitless in the game.
The Bengals play Ohio State on March 9 at 2:30 p.m. and No. 6 Washington at 7 p.m.
