POCATELLO, Idaho- For the fifth time in program history, the Idaho State men's basketball program had student-athletes recognized on the NABC Honors Court.
This year
Kelvin Jones,
Balint Mocsan,
Jared Stutzman,
Lyle Sutton and
Blake Truman were recognized for their academic success. The five recognized tied for the school record as the 2017-18 team also had five receive the honor.
The qualifications to receive the honor are as follows: 1. Academically a junior or senior and a varsity player. 2. Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2018-19 academic year. 3. Students must have matriculated at least one year at their current institution. 4. Member of a NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA Division I or II institution with a NABC member coach.
Earlier in the year the team was recognized by the NABC for its academic success with a team GPA of 3.0 or better.
Eastern Washington, Idaho State, Montana, Sacramento State and Southern Utah all had student-athletes recognized on the NABC academic teams.
