Women's Soccer Drops Exhibition Match 4-3 To Westminster College

Box Score

POCATELLO, Idaho
- The Idaho State women's soccer team concluded its exhibition portion of season on Aug. 17, in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Bengals fell to Westminster College 4-3.

Michaela Diderickson led the Bengals with two goals and one assist while Makena Bambei followed with one goal. Esmeralda Nunez recorded three assists in the match.

Goalkeeper Katie Hogarth totaled seven saves while Westminster totaled four.

"I thought we made progress in the implementation of our style of play during today's game," Head Coach Debs Brereton said. "We varied our system of play slightly and I was very happy with the application. I was proud of the effort and resilience the team showed. We were limited with the number of substitutions available so many players were called upon and did well time and time again. We scored some great goals and conceded some soft set pieces that I'm confident we can clean up quickly. I am very much looking forward to kick off our non-conference portion of the season next in South Dakota."

Idaho State will begin the non-conference portion of season in Vermillion, South Dakota on Aug. 23 to face the University of South Dakota Coyotes.
