POCATELLO, Idaho – The Idaho State soccer team beat Saint Mary's 2-1 in overtime at Davis Field Friday afternoon. Sophomore
Karlin Wurlitzer's goal off a penalty kick in the 99th minute of play gave Idaho State soccer its first win of the season.
The penalty kick off a hand ball in the box was Wurlitzer's first goal of the season. She also had two shots during the game.
Senior
Michaela Didericksen led the team with four shots, netting the only Bengal goal during regulation play with a shot to the right corner in the 19th minute, assisted by
Jazmin Lopez.
The Bengals held the lead through the first until Saint Mary's scored off a corner kick in the second half.
Senior goalkeeper
Katie Hogarth recorded a career-high single-game record of nine saves on the match.

Makena Bambei held the second most shots with three followed by senior
Paige Smith and Wurlitzer with two shots each.
Idaho State looks to keep the streak going on Sunday, Sept. 15 in Missoula, Mont. when they face Cal Poly at 10 a.m. (MST).
